Women of Virunga is a remarkable project led by Hilde de Beule and Original Beans, created to uplift the lives of women in the conflict-ridden North Kivu region of Congo. Through the development of an organic agroforestry cocoa sector, it provides work and education opportunities for women while also safeguarding the breathtaking Virunga National Park, home to the last mountain gorillas.

This chocolate reflects the resilience and richness of its origin, offering a beautifully complex flavor profile with notes of dried bananas, warm spices, blond tobacco, and a gentle bitterness.
