Friis-Holm Chokolade, founded by Danish chef Mikkel Friis-Holm, aspires to be one of the top chocolate makers globally with the mission: “Best in the world, best for the world.” Mikkel’s passion for chocolate was sparked in the late 90s during his time in San Francisco, where he connected with Scharffenberger Chocolate. In 2007, he began collaborating with Nicaraguan cacao farmers through a Danida-supported project, and those beans remain central to Friis-Holm’s production. After years of honing his craft, Friis-Holm established a factory in Denmark in 2014, where all production has since taken place.

Nicaliso Green Cinnamon is part of our unique series of chocolates featuring flavors from Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. This series also includes White Yuzu, O’Payo Milk Sansho Pepper, and Medagla Soy. Made with Japanese leaf cinnamon, which mimics the taste of classic cinnamon but is actually a herb, Nicaliso Green Cinnamon offers a distinct and flavorful twist on traditional cinnamon.
