This is a very dark 100% chocolate bar, crafted exclusively from Amelonado cacao beans sourced from the Congo. These certified organic beans are cultivated in the fertile plantations of the Virunga Valley, a region also celebrated as ‘the gorilla valley’ for its critical role in mountain gorilla conservation. In this valley, women play a significant role in the cultivation of cocoa, contributing to the community’s sustainable development. The mineral-rich soils of the Rift valley impart a unique earthiness to the cocoa beans, resulting in a chocolate bar with a deep, intense, and distinctly earthy flavor.
