Nittedal Sjokoladefabrikk began with 2 kilos of cocoa beans tucked into a suitcase after a trip to Madagascar in 2012. What started as a spark of curiosity about how those beans could become chocolate has since grown into a small but well-established Norwegian chocolate adventure.
From their workshop in Nittedal, founders Bjarne Nielsen, a trained science teacher turned self-taught chocolatier, and Nina Andreassen, a skilled pastry chef, craft chocolate with care, curiosity, and a touch of playfulness. Their creations find their way to discerning customers through local cafés and niche stores across Norway, always made with quality ingredients, respect for the craft, and a genuine love for chocolate.
Behind the scenes, a few loyal “ompalompas” lend their hands wherever needed, keeping the spirit of small-scale craftsmanship alive. Nittedal Sjokoladefabrikk remains true to its roots: a blend of science, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the magic that happens when good cocoa meets good people.
